  When I arrived in store I walked up to the register and was completely ignored. When I asked about my pick up there was no small talk, no friendly conversation such as asking how I was and I did not feel welcome at all.

  The next point is that I was not greeted politely over the phone and you can tell by the tone of their voice that they weren't happy and that rubbed off on me. Smiling and being a little more upbeat while on the phone can really go a long way to give a more positive experience.

  I'm all for supporting local businesses but to really stand out and make an impression that keeps customers coming back they need to rethink their approach to handling customers.

  From the the phone call to the pick up there is a lot of room for improvement in the customer service department. On the phone I felt rushed and the phone operator completely ignored me when they picked up the phone as they were taking a customer's order in store which led to some confusion. Definitely need to separate those two. Surely they can spare someone to answer the phone or to deal with customers separately.
